Abstract	:	This study explores the feasibility of using hyperspectral data for lithologicmapping in the presence of vegetation and lichens. Three topics relevant to the analysisof such data were addressed, namely the impact of vegetation on the extraction ofgeological endmembers, the development of novel spectral mixture models to facilitatethe retrieval of rock signatures, and the deconvolution of lichen and rock mixtures..
