Abstract	:	This thesis describes the design and iniplenieiitatioii of a coinpiler used to generateFPGA based bit-serial DSP system designs using a subset of the C prograimning lamguage. Bit-serial arithmetic offers the potential for compact designs and increased func-tional parallelisin conipared to bit-parallel arithnietic. The coinpiler generates dataflow.
