Abstract : In this thesis, a detailed analysis of a wind-fuel cell hybrid energy system forstand-alone applications is carried out. Initially, a pre-feasibility study for such a systemis conducted and for a given load, the sizes of various components are determined.Dynamic models of these components are developed based on empirical and physicalrelationships. The hybrid system is then integrated and simulated for investigating thetransient behaviors during sudden load variation, wind speed change and hydrogenpressure drop. Optimization software tool HOMER is used for the pre-feasibility studyand M A T L A B - S ~ ~ U ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ is employed for dynamic system modeling. Finally, results ofthis analysis are summarized and scope for future works are indicated..
