Abstract	:	Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis is a complex 3D deformation of the musculo-skeletalsystem of the trunk which does not have any known cause. It is characterized inter-nally by a deviation of the spine, and externally by a bump in the back. Currently atSainte-Justine Hospital, medical follow-up of scoliotic patients is done by taking regularX-Rays; cancer risks inherently increase with more radiation exposures, although theserisks are reduced by fixing a six-month deadline between X-Rays..
