Abstract	:	Optical fiber is used in a variety of applications. The most important application offiber is probably for high speed communication networks where a single fiber is used totransfer a tremendous amount of voice and data. Besides that fiber can also be used forbiomedical and chemical gas sensors.A new application of fiber is reported by second order nonlinear optical response inorganic thin film fabricated on fiber core using Ionically Self-Assembled Monolayers(ISAM) technique.
