Abstract	:	The purpose of this study was to develop a computerjob-aid for industrial trainers from a hard copy version usingan object-based expert-system, and t o test the effectiveness ofthe resulting training process against the traditional paperversion. The objectives allowed for this development,pilot-testing of the expert computer job-aid, and comparison ofthe computer j ob-aid for: (a, ) content understanding and use,(b.) completion time, and (c.) participants1 satisfaction.Computer programming methods allow flow chart, andprocedural development in the object paradigm. These methodsclosely resemble problem solving methods used for diagnosticsand traditional job-aids.
