Abstract	:	The purpose of this research was to develop a method to simulate datarepresenting a myoelectric signal generated from a muscle contraction. and usewireless transmission to send the data to a microcontroller. The microcontroller willthen be used to control an electronically driven prosthetic device. The long-term goalof this project is to show feasibility of the electronics required for single digit controlof a prosthetic hand. The wireless components of this project will demonstrate thefeasibility of implanting myoelectric sensors in the forearm that can communicate tothe senro motors in the prosthetic hand without wires. The project uses a MicrochipTechnology Inc. microcontroller model 12C672, three Instrumentation Amplifiersmodel AD620, and Microchip 125kHz RFID technology..-....,....-...,..tested for theQ1 PC1 bus cardBoth these projects mere sofixare des elopment efforts tonards contributing to dlfferentaspects of Roboucs and lZ1echatronics projects m the Controls and Roboucs Group..
