Abstract	:	In this thesis, an analysis of resonant cavities is presented along with a Matlabprogram for determining the geometry of a cavity for a given resonant frequency andmode of propagation. An analysis of parallel-plate dielectric resonators issubsequently presented and a Matlab program for determining the geometry of adielectric for a given resonant frequency and mode of propagation is also presented.Finally, a new design of dielectric loaded resonant cavity with a method of supportingthe dielectric within the cavity is discussed and analyzed using commercial Finite-Element method field modeling software..-....,....-...,..tested for theQ1 PC1 bus cardBoth these projects mere sofixare des elopment efforts tonards contributing to dlfferentaspects of Roboucs and lZ1echatronics projects m the Controls and Roboucs Group..
