Abstract	:	Snapover is particularly relevaut to Earth-orbiting spacecraft pawered by high-vottagesolar arrays. During snapover, tbe current cdlected by a positively biased condudor that isimmersed in a plasma suddenly increases wbea two canditians are met: ie there is an -lyadjacent insulator; iir the conductor exceeds a positive thresl~old Mhage witb respect to the plasma.The enhaoced current develops as a consequence ofthe insulator, either through sec~~dary electron(SE) emissicin or by material ioaizaticm.
