Abstract	:	Antennas whose polarizations are not aligned for optimal power transfer create a/"polarization mismatch and a loss in transferred power. A compensation for polarizationmismatch is considered using a pair of crossed dipoles. One of the dipole's amplitudeand phase is adjusted by a MATLAB optimization, and the Numerical ElectromagneticCode generates the electromagnetic response. Optimizing only for circular polarizationproduces losses in radiated power that offset the polarization correction. With minimumdipole separation, minor improvements are possible for 0 < 1 5 O , but at larger angles theoptimizer decreases the power transferred.
