Abstract	:	With the objective of mapping fuel models on east side Sierra ecosystems wetested fuel model classification accuracies for satellite data with the following treatments:the addition of ancillary data, different algorithms, post classification filtering, andThematic Mapper versus Indian Remote Sensing satellite imagery on four 7.5'quadrangles. Converting vegetation data directly to fuel models was also tested againstfuel model data. We found that the addition of ancillary data increases classificationaccuracy. Vegetiition data converted to fuel models showed lower accuracies than directmapping.
