Abstract : As speed requirements of digital logic circuits increase at the high ntes and as designcycle times decrease, such as are seen in today's design environment. the need for faster and moreaccurate design tools increases as well. There presently exists a gap between low level modellingand CMOS gate level design. 4 s an answer to this problem. this thesis presents an improvedcomputer aided approach. based upon a recently published method. which assists in gate designby performing transient analyses of CMOS logic circuits using a nonquasi-static MOSFET modelfor the individual transistors in the circuits.
