Abstract	:	The standard shift and ratio method for extracting the effective channellength of a device does not work properly with devices containing halo-implants.This is due to the fact that this standard method makes the assumption that theeffective mobility is not dependent on the channel length of a device, which is notthe case for devices containing halo-implants.
