Abstract	:	ireless Internet access has recently gained significant attention as wireless/mobilecommunications and networking become widespread. Voice over service is likely toplay a key role in the convergence of t and mobile cellular networks. Themobility management performance for d Session Initiation Protocol is thefocus of this thesis. After illustrating the operation of the protocols, the discrete eventsimulator, Network Simulator 2 (ns2), is used to compare the performance of the twoprotocols. The comparison of the protocols is done by comparing average end-to-enddelay and the ratio of the number of packets received to the number of packets originallysent (Packet Delivery Fraction).
