Abstract	:	This thesis research deals with the improvement of the quantization of theelectron energy in multigate p-HEMT devices using the concept of tailoring of electricalfield. The method of tailoring involves applying bias on the gates varied as VGId VG2aVG3 (from source to drain). This results in a flatter depletion region i.e. more uniformelectrical field profile. Tailoring also reshapes the heterostructure potential and results inthe availability of more uniform set of energy levels for the electrons.
