Abstract	:	This thesis deals with the characterization of folded-slot antennas based ondesign of experiment techniques. Several 24 factorial designs were used for thecharacterization of folded-slot antennas in a substrate with relative permittivity of 3.48and a thickness of 0.762 mm. Five responses were chosen to be observed since theysummarize the behavior of this antenna configuration. The five responses are theresonant frequency, the input impedance at resonance, the directivity on the air side, thedirectivity on the substrate side and the efficiency. A statistical analysis was performedin each of these responses and design guidelines were presented for each of the firstthree folded-slot antenna resonances. Regression models were obtained for predictingeach of the responses.
