Abstract	:	Decision-making on switching for diversity antennas has been siven considerablcattention in recent times in mobile radio communications. Due to multipath propagationof radio waves the signals undergo a phenomenon know as fading and there \rill beconsiderable reduction in the average signal strength. By having rnultiplc antennas in thereceiver or transmitter the s i g a l strcngth can be improved by switching back and forth tothe antenna that has the maximum signal strength. In this thesis we have used linearprediction method for making decisions on \r hich antenna givcs the mas imum signalstrength.
