Abstract	:	The photorefractive grating along with the two-coupled waves produces a richspatiotemporal dynamics such as those of solitons and chaos. In this study, we relate thisdynamics to that of a spinning-top where the photorefractive-coupling constant is large ormore importantly the photorefractive dynamics is much faster than the photorefractiveresponse time of the material. The new solutions, namely the spinning-top dynamics tothe grating dynamics equations are presented and numerically solved in the form of theJacobiبs Elliptic functions where their periods interestingly depend on the boundary andinitial conditions. In a special case, the solutions are not periodic and are described in theform of hyperbolic functions.
