Abstract	:	A hybrid biogas and solar collector system was developed and modeled toproduce methane gas from farm waste for low temperatures and high altitudes. Thisparticular hybrid system must function in synchrony in order to sustain the operation atlow temperatures where it is designed to function. The function of the solar collector isto provide hot water to keep the inside of the biodigester above 35پ‍-C in order to achievehigher efficiency in bacterial and biogas production (Lichtman, 1983). The model isbased on the principles of solar energy, heat transfer and the finite control volumeapproximation technique..
