Abstract	:	The method of motor comparison for permanent magnet DC motors based onpower output at maximum efficiency is developed from tabulated motor data. Itprovides a previously unattained, uniform rating technique considering the fullinteraction of torque, speed and input power. All values are calculated using readilyavailable manufacturer data. Each value is directly related to the point of maximumefficiency. Thus, the full interaction of the motor is contained at a single operating.
