Abstract	:	Matrix multiplication is an important arithmetic operation used in several signaland image processing applications. It is a fundamental operation involved in Signalprocessing techniques such as discrete cosine transforms (DCT), Discrete Fouriertransforms (DFT), and Singular values Decomposition (SVD).Matrix multiplication is a complex problem that involves 0 (n3) operations on asequential system and 0 (n3/' operations on a parallel system with p processors. Largehardware resources available on FPGA's make it an attractive option for implementingsuch computationally intensive problems.
