Abstract	:	In almost all over the kingdom of Saudi ia, the hot and humid environment persistsusing air conditioners fiom four to six months a lly. And the Air Conditioner (AC)could represent 80 of the res ntial electrical load. AC compressor is switchingON and OFF several times a day and the GO ressor start up causes a very high stsh current associated with a voltage dip. The objective of this thesis is to study theing performance of the compressor induction motor and to design a soft starting.
