Abstract	:	Conventional uniform acuity machine vision systems limit their attainable visualresources by fixing the acuity. The emergence of the foveal vision system - a new type ofvision system strongly analogous to the vertebrate vision, equipped with graded acuityand context sensitive sensor gaze control, promised great improvement in efficiency overthe uniform resolution sensors for active vision applications. The foveai systems treatvisual resolution as dynamically allocatable resources, it can support simultaneously widefield of view, high localized acuity, and high temporal resolution. The high efficiency offoveal sensor is achieved.
