Abstract	:	Solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) is the most energy efficient power source amongcommonly used distributed generation equipment. Design and development of high-performance and low cost power-electronics system (for fuel cell based powerconditioning) that interfaces seamlessly to fuel cell sources is a daunting challenge.In this work, an energy-efficient fuel cell power-conditioning system (PCS) forstationary application, which reduces the variations in the current drawn from the FCand can potentially meet the $40/kW cost target is proposed. Effect of steady statecurrent variations on the fuel cell durability and efficiency is accounted.
