| Abstract

Carranza's Clinical Periodontology is one of the main reference books in dentistry. As the Persian translated version of this book has been used by most Iranian's teachers and students of dentistry, it seemed essential to evaluate this version of this book. Through this study, genre based evaluation of Persian translated version of this book was presented according to the recipients' attitudes. The participants of this study were 15 teachers and 85 students in this field. To achieve the attitude of recipients, a questionnaire that contained of two parts was used and the data was analyzed by means of SPSS. The results showed that all the recipients had positive attitudes to Persian translated version of this book and as most of the recipients moderately accepted translated version of this book, it become clear that this kind of evaluation was success to present a reliable prediction of the quality of Persian translated version of this book..
