| Abstract

The present study aims to investigate the Translation Qualities Assessment of Persian Translation of The Sound and the Fury in Terms of Strategies Employed for Performative verbs. The present writer investigated to compare two Persian translations of this novel ,The Sound and the Fury. According to Sadock and Zwicky (1985), three kinds of performative verbs such as, imperative, declarative and interrogative verbs. The present writerselected this type of performative group and found them in this novel and its translations. The present writer compared the style of perforamtive translation and showed which translation was the best. Keywords: Performative verbs, Imperative verbs, Declarative verbs, Interrogative verbs.
