Abstract : The extents to which textual and communicative complexities impact on international interactions have been matter of great concerns to the socio-pragmatists. This study aimed at investigating requestive business e-mail interactions sent to and by Iranian business partners. To this end, 150 requestive business e-mail interactions were selected based on availability. This study examined requests as a realization of speech acts used in business e-mails. Moreover, it examined the whole structures of e-mails including openings, bodies, and closings. It examined the level of directness, perspective, openings and closings of international business e-mail interactions. Descriptive statistics including frequency and percentage as well as the Chi-square tests were used to analyze the data. The findings of the present study revealed level of directness in requestive business e-mail interactions used both by Iranian and Native business partners. Moreover, it was found that there were significant differences in perspectives used in requestive business e-mail interactions. The study also showed that there were significant differences with regard to the use of openings and closings by Native and Non-Native email writers. The results of the present study would benefit business international environment. Moreover, it would be useful for ESP syllabus designers and trainers..
