Abstract	:	The present study intended to investigate the relationship between the frequency use of taboo words and gender in Esfahani Persian speakers. The researcher examined two themes: death and swearing. Using the Cochran formula, 150 females and 150 males undergraduate students, 18-28 years old studying at Islamic Azad University, Khorasgan Branch were selected as the sample of the study. In order to collect the required data, the researcher employed a closed self-administered researcher-made questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of two parts: death and swear. In the analysis of the collected data, the descriptive statistics (frequency and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (Chi Square test) were adopted. The results indicated that there is a relationship between the frequency use of taboo words related to death and swearing and gender in Esfahani Persian speakers..
