Abstract	:	Silakhori dialect is spoken in Doroud and some of the villages in its vicinity. The people who are living in this zone are called Silakhori, and their dialect is Silakhori. This thesis aimed to investigate three phonological processes; namely, dissimilation, lenition, and unrounding in Silakhori dialect by utilizing an OT framework. Optimality Theory (henceforth OT) has played a pivotal role in certain areas of linguistics theorizing and application (Prince and Smolensky 1993, McCarthy and Prince 1993a, b). To this end, a sufficient corpus of dialectal data spoken by Silakhori natives in Doroud and its surrounding neighborhood was collected. The analysis of the corpus within the OT framework revealed that markedness constraints dominate faithfulness constraints and are responsible for the occurrence of phonological processes. The result also indicated that various factors characteristically influence these processes including: the elements involved, phonological environments such as intervocalic position, Coda position, final position, processes blocking environments, and their important rankings of constraints responsible for the occurrence of each process were analyzed..
