Abstract	:	This thesis combines the statistical analysis along with the deterministic electro-magnetic theory to study both the Near-End Crosstalk (NEXT) and Far-End Crosstalk(FEXT) under geometric non-uniformities in cable binders. Further, a Thevenin equiva-lent based MTL method is extended from the Multi-conductor Transmission Line (MTL)theory to model crosstalk in a heterogeneous Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) system in-cluding a transition from a segment of optical fiber to twisted-pair copper lines.
