Abstract	:	This Master's dissertation gives an overview of the new IP telephony signaling protocol- SIP and studies the different IP telephony service creation programming modelsbased on SIP, such as SIP CGI and SIP Servlet. Then we note that SIP servlet is arapid and efficient service creation programming models amongst others.Also studied are the possible ways of defining the SIP Servlet API and how it can beimplemented together with the existing HTTP Servlet API and servlet engine.In addition, several prototypes are given to show how to use the SIP.
