Abstract	:	Many new industrial applications require that the inverter and the motor be in separateplaces. Thus, it is often necessary to have recourse to cables to connect them. This requiresthe use of long electric cables that have lengths reaching more than 100 meters. However,these long cables bring overvoltages at the motor terminals, which can damage the winding.
