Abstract	:	We present a framework for detecting degenerate probes in a DNA microarray thatmay add to measurement error in hybridization experiments. We consider four typesof behaviour: secondary structure formation, self-dimerization, cross-hybridization anddimerization. The framework uses a well-established model of nucleic acid sequence.
