Abstract	:	For limited-scan arrays, high-gain elements are required to reduce cost. Varioustechniques can be used to produce higher gain elements. These techniques includeplacing the radiating element in a cavity, however this approach is costly and the antennagets to be bulky. Another approach is to place a hemispherical lens with a flat bottomsurface directly on the planar radiating element; however, with this technique.
