Abstract	:	This thesis is an experimental investigation of the hwport properties of a GaAs/AlGaAsdouble quantum well, DQW, system, with emphasis on thennopower. DQWs havebeen studied extensively using resistance m-ts in large part due to theirnovel resistsnce resonance feature. At resonance, energy k w h in the wells are equal,and tunneling produces strong wave function mixing. This is in contrast to the off-resonance condition where the wells can be treated as independent conducting planes..
