Abstract	:	Low-power error-correction is required for the next generation of hand-helddigital wireless devices. Reduced state sequence detection (RSSD) is a recentmodification of the Viterbi algorithm that can decode a convolutionally-codedsequence with far less computational effort than full Maximum Likelihood Sequence.
