Abstract	:	The Combined Queue-Rate Active Queue Management (QR-AQM) algorithm randomlydrops the arriving packets, before the buffer overflows, to effectively control the:1. Actual Queue Size below a Desired Optimum Queue Size (Qopt) to limit queueingdelay and avoid buffer overflows2. Buffer's Average Trafic Am'val Rate in the vicinity of the Outgoing Link Capacityto enable the control of congestion and queue sizeQR-AQM combines the Actual Queue Szze and queue's Average Trafic Arrival Rate,in computing the Packet Drop Probability upon each packet's arrival, by comparing theExpected and Desired/Allowed changes in the queue level over a tunable Control TimeConstant (Tm) period, to achieve a better performance comapred to schemes that use.
