Abstract	:	This project compares two widely used software and methods, namely EMTP(Electromagnetic Transients Program) and PSB (Power System Blockset) of MATLAB,as applied to a power electronics circuit simulation. The equivalent model of a simplifiedHVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) link is represented in the two programs andconsistency of the results obtained is examined through simulation of this test HVDCnctwork. This comparison is made based on the similarities and fundamental differencesbetwecn the two programs..
