Abstract	:	Two algorithms for reactive power compensation using inverter circuit are presented.Both algorithms are based on the vohge control and fundamental frequency switchingstrategy (FFM). Both algorithm shows that reactive power control is managed bycontrolling active power flow between inverter circuit and the AC system. Thealgorithms are validated by means of simulation. The "Power System Blockset" and"Simulink'y toolboxes of "Matlab" are used to perform simulations. Moreover, one five-level inverter is developed and applied as Static VAr Compensator. The IGBTYs offourth generation are used as switching devices. The control circuit based on one DSPTMS320C3 1. The practical results and results of simulation are presented..
