Abstract	:	This thesis presents a new design of a transparent learning Ethernet Local Area Network(LAN) bridge f a the Net-Five fiber optic system. It provides a means for the Net-Five fiber opticsystem to supmt Ethernet LANs by co~ecting different Ethernet segments through itsmultiplexed fiber optic links. The design complies with the 10BASE-2 of the EEE 802.3 Carrier.
