Abstract	:	The body of work included in this dissertation explores the interaction of the growing,flexible liquefied natural gas (LNG) trade with the fundamentals of pipeline gassupply, gas storage, and gas consumption. By nature of its uses - largely forresidential heating and electric power generation - the consumption of natural gas ishighly variable both seasonally and on less predictable daily and weekly.
