Abstract	:	The Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI) standard developed by thelighting industries is emerging as the preferred lighting control method over the existingsystems because of its increased energy savings and ergonomics through digital lightingcontrol. In this thesis, a design methodology to enable the emerging DALI implementedlighting system to be controlled by a user from remote locations has been carried out.The DALI system is established as remotely accessible only if the remote user isable to communicate with all the dimming ballasts individually.
