Abstract : An algorithm is presented to automatically determine the relative 3D positions ofaudio sensors and actuators in an ad-hoc distributed network of heterogeneousgeneral purpose computing platforms. A closed form approximate solution isderived, which is further reطned by minimizing a non-linear error function. Ourformulation and solution accounts for the lack of temporal synchronization amongdiض‍erent platforms. We also derive an approximate expression for the mean andcovariance of the implicitly deطned estimator.
