Abstract : The objective of this work is to apply and investigate the performance of aneural network-based receiver for interference cancellation in multiuser directsequence code division multiple access (DSICDMA) wireless networks. Thisresearch investigates a Receiver model which uses Neural Network receiver incombination with a conventional receiver system to provide an efficient mechanismfor the Cnterference Suppression in DSKDMA systems. The Conventional receiver isused for the time during which the neural network receiver is being trained. Once theNeural Network receiver is trained the conventional receiver system is deactivated. Itis demonstrated that this receiver when used along with an efficient Neural networkmodel can outperform Minimum Mean Squared Error receiver or Decision FeedbackFunctional Link Equalizer receiver with significant advantages, such as improved bit-........-....,....-...,..tested for theQ1 PC1 bus cardBoth these projects mere sofixare des elopment efforts tonards contributing to dlfferentaspects of Roboucs and lZ1echatronics projects m the Controls and Roboucs Group..
