Abstract	:	Nanostructured magnetic materials have unique properties that are differentfrom bulk materials. They are of great scientific interest, as provide many potentialapplications. This thesis presents the structural and magnetic properties of FePt thinfilms and FePt-based nanocomposite thin films.FePt thin films were deposited by magnetron sputtering. By annealing the as-deposited films, high-anisotropy Llo FePt films were obtained. The fcc to fct phasetransition is dependent on the annealing temperature and time, as well as the compositionof the films.
