Abstract	:	An evolving family of electric machines using the Torque Magnification(TM) Principle has attracted increasing interest in recent years. In this thesis,the TM principle is described following the introduction of the Specific TorqueDensity concept. A TM machine with flux concentration effect is presented, andits working principle explained. The performance and design considerations ofthe machine, which are common to most TM machines, are studied in detail.
