Abstract	:	This dissertation presents the development, modeling, analysis and performanceevaluation of b e new call admission control (CAC) protocols for AsynchronousTransfer Mode (ATM) based high - speed Broadband integrated Services DigitalNetworks (BISDN). The protocols presented are suitable for "On - Line" application andprovide efficient network resource (buffer space and link capacity) utilization. Theseprotocols simultaneously satisfy two QoS parameters, namely cell loss ratio (CLR) anddelay.
