Abstract : distributed generation (DG) system consisting of a 300 W wind turbine, a 500 W wind turbine,a 1 SO0 W wind turbine, a 2500 W photovoltaic array, a storage battery bank and a 4 kW inverterwas analyzed. A computer-controlled data acquisition @AQr system was designed to measurethe dynamic response and record the parameters of the DG system. A steady state energy analysisof the three residential roofGtop wind energy conversion systems was performed to determinewhich of the wind turbines produced the most energy over the long term. An array of 500 wattwind turbines is the most effective choice for capturing wind energy at the site.
