Abstract	:	The performance of Impulse Radio and Direct sequence CDMA is investigated. TheSaleh-Valenzuela multipath indoor channel models are used for both systems. However,both systems react to the models differently. In DS-CDMA the number of resolvable pathsdepends directly on the data rate. Meanwhile, the number of resolvable paths in the ImpulseRadio system is fixed. Moreover, some assumptions are introduced to the systems in orderto obtain simple systems. For example. the multiple users are assumed synchronized, andpower control is applied to a11 users.
