Abstract	:	In this research work. the spectral response and output coupling loss of a Multi-layer Anti-Resonant Rejkcting Optical Waveguide ARROHz'J are analyzed. Therndtz-layer .4RROLV waveguide ts used for enhancing the evanescent field m louz-index media. The jrnction oj the fundamental TE-like mode power tn the low z n d amatend is used as a measure of the evanescent field enhancement. .-tho the sen-sitimty of the multi-Layer .-1RROM* tuaueguide is analyzed. The whole analysts zsdone using air as the lour-2nd- superstrate. The proposed structure can be used asan integmted mechano-optical waveguide on/o ff switch. AlOL with h g h er-order ap-pronmation has been applied to find the modal profile and propagation constants ofthe etgen-modes of the basic .A RRO R' and multi-layer -4 RRO C I ' onveguide. Outputcouplzng problems, which involves the analysls of single and double dzscontinuity. areanalyzed using the MOL. The Perfectly rllatched Layer (PAIL) absorber 2s used toabsorb the rudiated fields born these discontinuities.Keywords: Optical Waveguides.
